DUSHANBE, May 13, 2010, Asia-Plus  — An international festival of classical music, Bahoriston (The Spring), devoted to the 200th birthdays of Frederic Chopin and Robert Schumann will take place at Tajikistan’s National Conservatory named after Talabsho Sattorov in Dushanbe from May 14-17, according to the Culture Ministry press service.

National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy from Kazakhstan, National Conservatory from Kyrgyzstan as well as the Moscow State Conservatory named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the Ural State Conservatory named after Modest Mussorgsky and the Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts from Russia have been invited to participate in the Bahoriston Festival.

A meeting of the festival participants with Tajik Minister of Culture, Mirzoshorukh Asrori, and Vladimir Sukhanov, Vice-chancellor of the Moscow State Conservatory, is expected to take place on sidelines of the festival.

Besides, known musicians from Kazakhstan and Russia will conduct master classes for Tajik students, the press service said.
