DUSHANBE. June 3. “Asia-Plus” — European Union expresses its concern over the blockage of Tajikistan’s cargo wagons on the territory of Uzbekistan, Head of the EU Delegation to Tajikistan Eduard Auer told the AP.

In late May EU has accepted a statement with regard to the blockage of Tajik rail wagons on the territory of Uzbekistan. “The statement outlines the role of OSCE in resolution of this problem,” he said. “Both EU and OSCE are well informed about this problem and are working in the given direction.”

Earlier Tajikistan urged the EU and OSCE and Kazakhstan, which chairs the OSCE, to take “active and effective measures” against Uzbekistan which blocks cargoes provided for Tajikistan on its territory.
