DUSHANBE, July 30, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The issue of restructuring of Barqi Tojik power holding (Tajik electricity supplier) will be considered at the government level, Suhrob Rahimov, the deputy director of Barqi Tojik, said.

“Our specialists have developed the company restructuring program and it will be submitted for consideration to the government in the near future,” said Rahimov, “The Ministry of Energy and Industries is currently considering the document”

Under the company restructuring program, the power holding will split up into three separate companies — generating, transmitting and distributing.

The restructuring of Barqi Tojik will be conducted in three stages and is expected to be completed by 2015, the Barqi Tojik official added.
