KHUJAND, August 10, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The Teachers’ Training College at the Khujand State University will accept 12 orphans this academic year, the college director Muhayokhon Tohirova said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to her, they are residents of various districts of Sughd province.  “Four of them want to take correspondence course in order to have an opportunity to study and work simultaneously.”

The orphaned students will be provided with dormitory, Tohirova said, noting that 25 orphans have studied at the teachers’ training college over the past three years.

The Khujand teachers’ training college now offers nine disciplines.
