KHUJAND, August 17, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tajik and Indian filmmakers are expected to shoot a documentary about Tajikistan, Asia-Plus has leaned from the source at the Khujand mayor’s office.

The documentary will feature nature, historical relics as well as socioeconomic changes that have taken place in Tajikistan during the independence.

“A group of Tajik cinematographers, led by the Tajikfilm (Tajik film studio) head, Mahmadsaid Pirov, and Indian filmmaker also chairperson of the Indian Media Association, Ms. Nilufar Shama, are currently in Khujand,” the source said.

According to him, they have already shot the archeological site Sarazm in Panjakent district as well as Panjshanbe bazaar, Sheikh Mslihaddin mosque, museum and fortress in Khujand, the Qairoqqum reservoir and the carpet factory in Qairoqqum, and teahouse in Bobojonghafurov district.
