DUSHANBE, September 8, Asia-Plus — In a televised speech today evening, President Emomali Rahmon will congratulate the Tajik people on the 19th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence, according to presidential press service.
Meanwhile, celebrations organized by the capital mayor’s office to mark Tajikistan’s Independence Day will take places in Dushanbe on September 9.
Concert programs and street festivities will be held in all parks of Dushanbe and the main festive concert will take place at Dousti Squire Thursday evening, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said. Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev will congratulate Dushanbe residents on the national day.
