KULOB, September 16, 2010, Asia-Plus  — 59,353,115 U.S. dollars have been remitted to banks in the Kulob zone of Khatlon province over the first eight months of this year, which is 3,400,064 U.S. dollar more than in the same period last year, Abdukarim Nematov, the head of the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Kulob, told Asia-Plus today.

Besides, 892,116,016 Russian rubles and 49,629 euros have been remitted to local banks over the report period.

The Russian ruble remittances have risen nearly 45 Percent, or 399,121,718 rubles, and the euro remittances have risen nearly 4 percent, or 1,965 euros, compared to the same period of 2009, Nematov said.
