DUSHANBE, January 27, 2011, Asia-Plus — The bodies of two Tajik nationals that were killed in a January 24 blast at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport were transported to Dushanbe today morning.

A special commission to provide assistance to Tajik nationals who have suffered from the blast has been set up at the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.  “All expenses on transporting the bodies to Tajikistan have been paid by the Government of Tajikistan,” the source at the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.

The explosion happened in the international arrivals hall of the Domodedovo airport, which is the busiest airport serving Russia”s capital, Monday afternoon, at about 16:31 local time.  According to the latest data from Russia’s appropriate services, 35 persons were killed and some 120 others were injured, many of them critically.  Investigators say the explosion, which happened in the arrivals hall, was a terrorist act.

Two Tajik nationals are among those killed in the Domodedovo blast.  They were identified as 48-year-old Sobir Jaborov and 24-year-old Murat Haqnazarov.
