DUSHANBE, February 8, 2011, Asia-Plus – A February 7 working meeting of the government, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, reviewed the results of January’s work on carrying out the winter crops sowing campaign, providing country’s markets with food products and essential goods, and improving the country’s education sector, the presidential press service reports.

The meeting participants included heads of relevant ministries and organizations as well as senior representatives from president’s executive office.

According to the presidential press service, 490 million somoni were transferred to the national budget last month, which is 26.4 million somoni more than it was originally planned and 128 million somoni more than in January 2010.

Speaking at the meeting, President ordered heads of relevant bodies to take adequate measures to ensure development of the country’s economy, providing the population, economic and social facilities with electricity and gas, as well as speed up preparations for the spring sowing campaign.
