DUSHANBE, April 20, 2011, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon is addressing the parliament today.

According to the presidential press service, heads of ministries and agencies, chairpersons of regions, cities and districts as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations active in Tajikistan and media have been invited to attend a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament.

Local experts consider that in his address, Rahmon will outline ways of development of the country for this year.

Usually, in an address to a joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament, the president discusses the country’s priorities in domestic and foreign politics as well as main economic challenges.

Local experts say president’s address to the parliament is one of the most important political events in life of any country and it must contain responses to the most topical issues and problems facing the country and society.
