KHUJNAD, June 2, 2011, Asia-Plus – The Kujand Military-Sports Lyceum has been reorganized into Branch of Tajik Military Institute.

The lyceum director Muqim Atayev says the branch will train logistics officers.  “Representatives from the Ministry of Defense were here on April 26-28 and inventoried buildings and the material and technical basis of the lyceum.”

The Khujand military and sports lyceum was established in 1984 as a special boarding school with advanced study of the Russian language and intensified military and sports training.  To date, 1,500 people have finished the lyceum.
