DUSHANBE, September 6, 2011, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon is inaugurating a number of facilities in Dushanbe today.

At first, Rahmon will attend an official opening of the business center, Dushanbe-Plaza, in the center of the Tajik capital.

An overall space of this 20-story building is some 40,000 square meters.  The height of this business center, which is considered to be the tallest building in Dushanbe, is 92 meters.

“The construction of Dushanbe Plaza officially commenced on October 12, 2009 and more than 160 million somoni have been allocated from the Dushanbe budget for construction of this business center,” Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.

According to him, the first five floors will house information centers, various traveling exhibitions, offices of international companies and halls for conducting fashion shows and negotiations.

“Offices of various organizations will be placed beginning from the 7th to 15th floor,” said the spokesman, “Hotel apartments will be placed on ”17th, 18th and 20th  floors.”

The building has twelve elevators, including four sightseeing elevators.  Car parking will be placed on two basement floors.  An overall space of the car parking is 5,000 square meters.

Besides, the president is inaugurating the plant for manufacturing energy-saving light bulbs.  The plant with capacity of producing 10,000 energy-saving light bulbs per day will create 126 new jobs in the city.  More than 2 million somoni were spent for construction of the plant.

President Rahmon will also attend a ceremony of an official opening of a new amusement park in the northern part of the Tajik capital.

Today, the head of state will also lay foundation stone of a new clinic hospital that will be constructed near the Sultoni Kabir market.
