DUSHANBE, December 5 2011, Asia-Plus  — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament has considered the agenda of the next regular sitting of the third session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation scheduled for the following Wednesday.

The meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon board, presided over by the Majlisi Namoyandagon speaker Shukurjon Zuhurov, was held on December 5.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the Majlisi Namoyandagon would consider the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of energy and Industries of Tajikistan and the Foreign Ministry of India on modernization of the Vartzob-1 hydroelectric power plant (HPP).

According to him, a bill requiring amendments to the country’s labor code has also been tabled to the next regular sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon.
