DUSHANBE, February 7, 2012, Asia-Plus — On Monday February 6, Safiallo Devonayev, Chairman of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan, met in Dushanbe with Viktor Sebelev, head of Russia’s Federal Migration Service (FSM)’s office in Tajikistan.
According to the Migration Service press center, a joint pilot project for vocational training of Tajik labor migrants that is being implemented on the basis of the Dushanbe-based vocational-an-technical school # 66 was a major topic of the meeting.
In the course of the talks, Devonayev also briefed Sebelev on efforts taken by the Migration Service to regulate the labor migration issues. A special attention is given to the study of the Russian language, stressed, the source stressed.
We will recall that the pilot vocational training project of Tajikistan’s Migration Service and Russia’s FMS was launched at vocational-and-technical school # 66 in October 2011.
The project will support the Government’s efforts to improve vocational skills of Tajik labor migrants. The project provides for organizing five-month training courses on gas-and-electric welding, turning work and electrical mounting and repair. The training course participants will also study the Russian language under the special program. The training courses will also make available information related to the legal, social, and cultural realities of Russia. The cost of the five-month training course is 85 U.S. dollars.
