DUSHANBE, February 8, Asia-Plus — The fourth-year student at Tajik technical University, R.A., 22, was detained in Dushanbe yesterday on suspicion of drug pushing, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
An official source at a MoI says R.A. was detained by police officers on outskirts of Dushanbe Tuesday evening and some 800 grams of heroin were confiscated from him.
On the same day, the 53-year-old resident of the southern city of Qurghon Teppa, I.Sh., was arrested on suspicion of storage of narcotic drugs. “3.3 kilograms of raw opium and hashish were found hidden in his house,” the source said.
