DUSHANBE, February 9, Asia-Plus  — Bosnian specialist Kemal Alispahic has become the head coach of Tajikistan’s national soccer team, replacing Alimjon Rafiqov, Faridoun Soliyev, a spokesman for Tajikistan’s Football Federation (TFF), told Asia-Plus Thursday afternoon.

According to him, Alimjon Rafiqov will continue to train the Football Club Istiqlol (Dushanbe), which will participate in the 2012 AFC President”s Cup qualification.

Kemal Alispahic (born 1969 in Sarajevo, SR Bosnia-Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a former Bosnian football player and now a manager.

Previously he managed Syrian giant, Al-Ittihad Aleppo, Azerbaijani team FC Mughan, as well as Bosnian sides, FC Sarajevo and FC Zeljeznicar.

Kemal Alispahic is owner of the UEFA Pro License.

The UEFA Pro Licence is a coaching licence from UEFA (the governing body of association football in Europe). The UEFA Pro Licence is the final coaching qualification available, and follows the completion of the UEFA ‘B’ and ‘A’ Licenses.  The UEFA Pro Licence is required by anyone who wishes to manage a football club in the top level of the nation”s league system on a permanent basis.  This applies to both the head coach or team manager, and such a licence is also required to manage in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Cup.
