In early June TajikAir company will launch a regular Dushanbe-Islamabad-Dushanbe flight.
The flight will be performed twice a week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays, TajikAir’s press service told AP. The flight duration will be 2 hours 30 minutes. One way ticket will cost 180 Euro.
“New flight will be opened in line with the Tajik-Pakistani intergovernmental agreement in collaboration with diplomatic services of the two countries. This is a new flight for the company and we don’t know whether there will be a demand for this flight,” the company has said.
Furthermore, in the nearest future the company is planning to resume flights to Karachi.
“TajikAir closed flights to Karachi in September 2001 due to destabilized situation in Afghanistan. But today we have an opportunity to resume the flight,” the company said.
The company said that it remains unclear what type of air planes will perform the Dushanbe-Islamabad and Dushanbe-Karachi flights since the choice will depend on the aircraft loading. “Low loading will mean the use of MA-60 aircraft, while heavy loading will mean the use of Boeings,” the company’s press service reported.
