DUSHANBE, August 13, 2012, Asia-Plus  — On Monday August 13, President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting to discuss issues related to taking timely preparations to ensure regular work of the country’s economy during autumn-winter 2012-2013, the president’s official website reported.

In a report released at the meeting, Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov noted that work on preparing power supply network and highways for winter as well as making coal, liquefied gas and food stocks is under way.

Speaking at the meeting, the president ordered relevant ministries to take adequate measure to provide the population, economic, social ad cultural facilities with enough coals and fuel during the autumn-winter period.

Deputy Prime Minister in charge of agrarian sector, Murodali Alimardon, reported on the pace of ongoing harvesting campaign in the country, the source said.
