DUSHANBE, November 7, 2012, Asia-Plus  — A joint anti-terror exercise for special units of the Ministries of Defense of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan has been launched in the Romit Gorge, Tajikistan.

“The purpose of the exercise that kicked off on November 7 and will last till November 18 is to rehearse interaction and coordination in anti-terrorist missions in mountains,” Faridoun Mahmadaliyev, a spokesman of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Tajikistan, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

Deputy Commander of Mobile Troops of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan, Colonel Tohir Khairulloyev, is in overall command of the ongoing war game that has reportedly involved more than 100 personnel and armored vehicles.
