DUSHANBE, December 20, Asia-Plus  — A council to discuss the most topical issues will be set up at the Dushanbe mayor’s office in the near future.

Addressing the session of the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis), Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev noted on December 20 that the council members will include representatives from the municipal administration and the civil society of the city.

The council will develop strategic development programs for Dushanbe, the mayor said.

He also noted that the mayor’s office would launch a new interactive project, Be Miyonravho (Without Mediators), in the near future.

“This interactive project will cover sectors like education, health, culture, social protection, sports, youth policy, Dushanbe’s municipal redevelopment plan, innovations, trade and domestic service, as well as fight against corruption,” the mayor said, adding that residents and guests of Dushanbe would be able to get in touch with city authorities on problems in the mentioned sectors through the new interactive project.
