Days of Tajik Culture take place in Turkmenistan

DUSHANBE, June 3, 2013, Asia-Plus  — Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Ruqiya Qurbonova, heading a Tajik cultural delegation, is currently in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan for participation in Days of Tajik Culture that kicked off there on June 1.

“Artistes from Tajik Philharmonic Society and ensembles of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting are representing Tajikistan in the event that will run through June 6,” Deputy Minister of Culture, Mirali Dostiyev, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, demonstration of Tajik movies and an exhibition of works by Tajik painters will be organized in Ashgabat within the framework of the event.  Besides, Tajik artistes will give a concert in Lebap velayat (province.) 

While in Ashgabat, members of the Tajik will also meet with representatives of the Turkmen Ministry of Culture, Dostiyev added.
