DUSHANBE, June 20, 2013, Asia-Plus – Khujand resident Maroufjon Ayubov, 41, has been detained by officers from the Interior Ministry’s office for Sughd province on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking, the Interior Ministry’s website reports.

Ayubov, who has the previous conviction for drug trafficking, was detained on June 19 and more than two kilograms of heroin were reportedly confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
