DUSHANBE, July 9, 2013, Asia-Plus — On Monday July 8, Tajik Prime Minister Oqil Oiqlov met here with Mr. Xin Zhang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of China’s Tebian Electric Apparatus Stock Company Limited (TBEA).

According to the PM Secretariat, the sides discussed issues related to construction of a new combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Dushanbe.

The first 50 MW unit of the Dusahnbe-2 CHP plant is expected to be introduced into operation by the end of this year.

A total cost of project is 30 million USD and it is being implemented due to a loan provided the Export-Import Bank of China.

A total capacity of this coal-powered plant, which is being built in the Luchob area of the Tajik capital, will be 200 megawatt.  Construction of the coal-powered plant is reportedly in compliance with Tajikistan’s environmental regulations.
