DUSHANBE, October 30, 2013, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe mayor believes that night clubs lead to moral decay of Tajik youth.

According to Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, an enlarged meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office took place on October 29.

The meeting participants included senior representatives of the mayor’s office and heads of municipal law enforcement agencies.

Speaking at the meeting, Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev ordered to take functioning of night clubs in Dushanbe under strict control.

The mayor also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that administrations of some night clubs do not observe operating schedule.

Public order is not kept in night clubs and many of them are functioning till morning, the mayor said, noting that all this leads to moral degradation of youth.

Ubaidulloyev reportedly ordered the Dushanbe police department to take activities of night clubs under strict control.

The Dushanbe prosecutor’s office was ordered to inspect activities of all public utility enterprises for corruption.

Besides, the Dushanbe milk plant was ordered to sell milk every day — from 6:00 am to 9:00 am in the morning and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the evening – at 3.50 somoni per liter, the spokesman said.
