KHUJAND, November 5, 2013, Asia-Plus — Two persons were killed and at least one another was injured on November 4 as BMW slammed into a tree in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province.

According to the Interior Ministry’s office in Sughd province, the accident took place in downtown Khujand at night.

As a result of the accident, the driver and one of his passengers died on the spot while another passenger sustained various injuries and was rushed to hospital.

249 traffic accidents have been reported in the northern Sughd province since the beginning of this year; 110 people, including 21 children, have been killed and 252 people, including 50 children, have been injured in those accidents.
