DUSHANBE, May 30, 2014, Asia-Plus — On the sidelines of the official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Bahrain, a Tajik businessmen delegation yesterday paid a visit to the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) in the Salman Industrial City.

(BNA), the delegation was welcomed by Acting Undersecretary of Industrial Affairs at the Industry and Commerce Ministry Osama Al Arrayadh, and a number of officials from the industry sector and BIIP.

The Undersecretary reportedly gave a detailed presentation about BIIP”s features, noting that it was inaugurated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2010.

He pointed out that the Salman Industrial City includes three of the largest industrial projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which are BIIP, Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW) and the Hidd Industrial Area.

Then, the delegation toured to some of the factories, facilities and services located in the city.

The Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) is a high quality 247 hectare Business Park that has been developed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.  The BIIP is designed to attract export oriented companies, in manufacturing and internationally traded services, with high value projects that will contribute to creating quality local employment.

The Park offers unique incentives including: 0% Corporate Tax with a 10 year guarantee; duty free access to the markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates); 100% Foreign Ownership; availability of serviced industrial land at extremely competitive rates; renewable 50 year leases; no recruitment restrictions for the first 5 years; and dedicated assistance of a professional management team.
