DUSHANBE, September 16, 2014, Asia-Plus – Thirty-four countries of the world have provided more than 47 million U.S. dollars worth of more than 5,400 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-August this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from United States – 69.2 percent; the Netherlands – 8.3 percent; China – 4.2 percent; South Korea and Denmark – 2.2 percent each; Latvia – 1.3 percent; Germany – 1.2 percent; Estonia – 0.9 percent; Austria and Switzerland – 0.7 percent each; India and France – 0.5 percent each; Iran, Malaysia, and Spain – 0.3 percent each; Bulgarian, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Belgium – 0.2 percent each; and of the CIS countries: Russia – 5.5 percent, Kazakhstan – 0.1 percent, and others.
