DUSHANBE, November 27, 2014, Asia-Plus — On Thursday November 27, visiting Czech President Milos Zeman met here with Shukurjon Zuhurov, the head of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament.
Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, says the two discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation between the parliaments of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic.
In the course of the talks, Zuhurov reportedly noted that establishment of close cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries would promote further development of relations between Dushanbe and Prague.
Tajik parliament speaker said that Tajikistan and the Czech Republic shared similar stances had similar stances on many international issues, including the Afghan problems.
For his part, President Zeman noted that parliamentarians of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic could make weighty contribution to further development of relations between their countries, Sultonov said.
