QURGHON TEPPA, March 2, 2015, Asia-Plus — Ex-chief of the Interior Ministry’s office in Khatlon, Major-General Anvar Taghoymurodov, has won election in the Qurghon Teppa single-mandate constituency (Khatlon province).

“Taghoymurodov won with 77.2 percent of the vote, Amon Shaymonov, the head of the Qurghon Teppa electoral commission, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, Taghoymurodov’s opponents, the head of the Agrarian Party (APT)’s organization in Qurghon Teppa and candidate of the Party of Economic Reforms, won 6.3 and 14. 1 percent of the respectively.
