Ambassadors of Palestine, Iran and Turkey visit Tajik MFA

DUSHANBE, May 21, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov yesterday received Palestine’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammed Tarshakhani at his request, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

The two reportedly discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Palestine.

Aslov and Tarshakhani also exchanged views on cooperation between the two states within the frameworks of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).    

On the same day, Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister, Nizomiddin Zohidi, met with Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan Hojatollah Faghani.  They reportedly discussed issues related to political, economic and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Zohidi also met with Turkish Ambassador to Tajikistan Mehmet Munis Dirik on May 20.  The two discussed bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey as well as the progress of implementation of projects that are being implemented in Tajikistan under support of the Coordination Office of the Turkey International Cooperation Agency (TICA) in Dushanbe.

They also exchanged views on cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey within the framework of international and regional organizations, the source said.
