Tajikistan, Kazakhstan to establish direct ties between their regions

DUSHANBE, June 10, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Tuesday June 9, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met here with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Bakitzhan Sagintayev.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, Rahmon noted that Tajikistan was interested in further expansion of constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Kazakhstan.

He, in particular, outlined sectors like mining, chemical industry, construction, energy, mechanical engineering, and pharmaceutics, as areas of which could drive the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

Issues related to establishment of direct ties between the regions of the two countries were also among major topics of the meeting, the source said.
