DUSHANBE, June 22, 2015, Asia-Plus – Over the first five months of this year, Tajikistan has produced a total of 4.4945 billion somoni worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to the same period of the last year the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 113.8 percent.

Of 1,863 industrial enterprises registered in the country, 333 enterprises have not been in operation over the report period.

Of the 90 basic types of industrial products, the output of 50 (55.5 percent) has increased in January-May this year, and the output of 25 items (27.8 percent) has decreased over the same five-month period.  Fifteen (16.7 percent) basic types of industrial products have not been produced over the report period.
