DUSHANBE, July 6, 2015, Asia-Plus – The Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIs) of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan have signed a cooperation agreement.
According to the Tajik CCI, the agreement was signed at a meeting of Sharif Said, Head of Tajikistan’s CCI with his Azeri counterpart Niyaz Enver Oglu Alizade that took place in Baku, Azerbaijan last week.
The document reportedly emphasizes the necessity of expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides discussed a broad range of issues related to cooperation between the CCIs of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan and expansion of the mutually beneficial partnership between the business communities of the two countries, the Tajik CCI press center says.
They, in particular, outlined sectors like energy, agriculture industry, construction, mining, and tourism, as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.
