Dushanbe. 3 September. “Asia Plus” — The National Library of Tajikistan today held an Open Day, dedicated to the National Independence Day of Tajikistan and the Day of books. On this feast arrived students and lecturers from all over Tajikistan.

At the entrance to the library were acrobats, which attracted the attention of passers-by to this holiday and invited them to visit the library. Here, at the entrance was organized a book sale. Administration offered the visitors a tour in the library.

The aim of these Open Days, which will last until September 5, according to the administration of the library, is to attract the attention of young people to read books.

Deputy Dean on educational work of the Philology Faculty of the Tajik-Russian Slavic University Irina Zhorova notes that this is an important event for the students. “Many of them are first-year students, and many of them never were here and now, seeing how rich our library with books is, they may be happy to come here and take advantage of this wealth,” – said the teacher.
