President Emomali Rahmon is currently on a working visit to districts in the Rasht Valley (eastern Tajikistan).

According to the Tajik president’s official website, president’s visit to the Rasht Valley began yesterday and the Sangvor district (formerly Tavildara) was the first leg of his visit to the region.

In the Sangvor district, the president attended a ceremony of an official opening of a new building of local court, visited an exhibition of agricultural goods and held a meeting with representatives of the local population.

While in Sangvor, Rahmon also inaugurated a new trade and eservice center.

Yesterday, the president also visited the Nourobod district, where he got acquainted with the potato harvest campaign and achievements of the district’s agrarian sector.

The president also inaugurated a new building of the local fire department, a new kindergarten and a milk-processing plant in the administrative center of the Nourobod district.

He also held a meeting with representatives of the locl population in Nourobod.              

The second day of his working visit to the Rasht Valley, Rahmon started with a trip to the Tojikobod district.

While in the administrative center of the Tojikobod district, the president get acquainted with achievements of local agrarian sector, attended a ceremony of an official opening of a new hotel and held a meeting with representatives of the local population.
