President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Beijing on August 30 with a state visit. At the international airport of the Chinese capital, Emomali Rahmon was greeted by high-ranking representatives of the Chinese government, the press service of the president reports.

It is planned that during this visit Emomali Rahmon will hold constructive meetings aimed at strengthening and expanding friendly relations and cooperation with the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, high-ranking leaders of the government of that country, representatives of influential Chinese companies.

PRC, as the press service of the President specifies, is a strategic partner of the Republic of Tajikistan, strengthening and expanding friendly relations with China is one of the priorities of Tajikistan's foreign policy.

Normative legal base of relations between the two countries is about 200 bilateral documents.
