The first festival of culture and tourism is expected to take place in Dushanbe on March 22.

Organized by the Tourism Development Committee under support of Tajikistan Football Federation President Rustam Emomali, the festival will take place in the framework of events dedicated to the Year of Development of Tourism and Folk Crafts in Tajikistan.

The motto of the festival is “Navrouz: Heritage and Culture Tourism.”

Recall, 2018 has been declared as the Year of Development Tourism and Folk Crafts in Tajikistan.

Tajikistan with its beautiful nature is very attractive for tourists.

Thus, Wanderlust, a British travel magazine, covering adventurous, cultural and special interest travel, puts Tajikistan among the top ten countries attractive for travel.

Wanderlust, in particular, notes that Tajikistan is rich in travel experiences, “offering striking scenery and gargantuan peaks (a staggering 93% of the country is mountainous).”

Wanderlust recommends to: take the high road – drive along the Pamir Highway where you’ll be treated to dazzling alpine views at every twist and turn; snuggle up in a yurt amidst scenic pastureland; explore the Silk Road relics and natural beauty of the Wakhan Corridor; saddle up to see the Pamir plateau on horseback; and go hiking in the Fan Mountains, where you can wander among Tajik herders, lakes and wild goats.
