Dushanbe to host the first summer festival

Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali has signed a decree on holding the first Sumer Festival in Dushanbe from August 18-19.

The event that aims at attracting foreign tourists and organizing leisure activities of residents and guests of the Tajik capital will take place at the Navrouzgoh State Complex, according to the Dushanbe mayor’s office.  

Various exhibitions of folk crafts, concerts, theatrical shows, poetry readings and meetings with known public figures with be organized in the frameworks of the festival.

Besides, ballooning, spectacular landing of skydivers and balloon launch will be organized.

A fanzone will be organized for communication with favorite sportspeople.

A separate festival with various master-classes will be organized for children.    

Monitors to broadcast the festival will be installed in all Dushanbe’s districts.  The Sumer Festival will be held in the Tajik capital annually. 

The Festival will begin on August 18 at 6:00 pm.  To get to the Festival you have to buy two 1.75 liter bottles of Coca Cola in any supermarket and get a ticket at the box office.
