Tajik farms have harvested about 60,000 tons of cotton since the beginning of the cotton picking campaign – the end of August. This represents more than 16% of the forecasted figure for this year

From the beginning of the season until September 18, 59 thousand 413 tons of cotton were harvested, which is 16.2% of the forecast,

In particular, more than 45.7 thousand tons of cotton were harvested in the Khatlon region, 12,400 tons – in the Sughd region and more than 1.2 thousand tons in the RRS.

The campaign for harvesting this year in Tajikistan began in late August.

This year, cotton planted 187.5 thousand hectares of land, which is 13.5 thousand hectares more than last year.

Up to the end of the season it is planned to harvest about 400 thousand tons of "white gold".

Last year, about 390 thousand tons of cotton were harvested.
