Soon the company will be engaged in gold mining, but the production of aluminum TALCO reduces.

“TALCO Resource”, a subsidiary of the Tajik Aluminum Company, has started exporting coal to Uzbekistan. By September 1, TALCO had already delivered about 1.2 thousand tons of fuel to a neighboring country, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.

Deliveries of coal by subsidiary TALCO are carried out within the framework of agreements reached in Tashkent this August with the Uzbek company IP BLUE BELL GLOBAL VENTURE LLC. Then TALKO Resource LLC and IP LLC signed an agreement to supply 37.3 thousand tons of coal to Uzbekistan in the amount of $ 1 million.

“TALCO Resource” started industrial development of coal from the “Fon Yagnob” field in the Ayni district in the areas designated by the Government of Tajikistan "Conte" and "GGKrud" (productivity – 320 thousand tons / year) in 2013.

Coal mining in Tajikistan since the beginning of this year until September 1 amounted to more than 1 million tons, of which about 14% accounted for "TALCO Resource."

In Tajikistan, “TALCO Resource” provides coal to SUE “TALCO”, “Dushanbe-2” TPP, Javan Cement Plant, Dushanbe Cement Plant and a number of other enterprises.

Gold on the way

The Tajik aluminum giant, in addition to the production of "winged metal" and other things, plans to be engaged in the extraction of precious metals, in particular gold..

In the summer of this year, another subsidiary of TALCO, “TALCO Gold”, began the construction of a large enterprise for the extraction and enrichment of precious metals in the Ayni district. Construction work is planned to be completed before the end of 2019, and to put the plant into operation in early 2020.

In the framework of the Program of State Support for the Improvement of the Economic Situation, the company received the Konchoch group of the field in early 2016. This group consists of three mines: Chulboi (gold, silver), Konchoch (gold, silver, mercury, fluorite), Shakhkon (gold, antimony, arsenic, fluorite).

According to preliminary calculations by TALCO, gold reserves in these deposits exceed 55 tons, and silver – about 44 tons.

In addition, the deposit also contains reserves of mercury (184 tons), antimony (268 thousand tons), fluorite (205 thousand tons) and a number of other minerals..

TALCO plans to process at the Konchoch group of deposits annually up to 900 thousand tons of ore.

Have to wait with aluminum

The production of its main products TALCO this year has reduced. This is attributed to the overhaul of the aluminum plant.

So, in the first half of this year, the company produced only about 55 thousand tons of primary aluminum, which is 3 thousand tons less than the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.

The repairs currently underway at the plant mainly concern the installation of modern equipment, which allows reducing the power consumption by three times.
