Kazakhstan has provided assistance to the combined heat and power (CHP) plant Dushanbe-1.

Kazakhstan’s government has reportedly allotted 1.5 million U.S. dollars to provide humanitarian aid to Tajikistan.  5,000 tons of fuel oil has been delivered to Tajikistan for the Dushanbe-1 CHP plant.

An official ceremony of handover of 5,000 tons of fuel oil to the Dushanbe-1 CHP plant took place here yesterday, December 11.

The ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Nurlan Seitimov and Deputy Director of Tajikistan’s Agency for State Reserves Sohibjon Ziyodulloyev.

Last year, two steam boilers the Dushanbe-1 CHP plant were reportedly repaired with help of Kazakh specialists that allowed to increase generation of electricity and heat from 20 megawatt and 50 Gcal/h to 50 megawatt and 90 Gcal/h, respectively.
