The government-to-government agreement between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan on migration, which was signed on March 14, 2018, was ratified by Tajikistan in July 2018.  The document provides for exchange of statistical and legal information about citizens of the state parties staying in the territories of the state parties.  Ratification of this agreement is expected to create favorable conditions for exchange of information on regulation of migration processes.

The government-to-government agreement on readmission of persons residing without authorization  has already been ratified by Tajikistan.  The agreement provides for procedures of revealing and retuning persons, who do not fulfill conditions of stay in the state party.  Ratification of this agreement is expected to improve fight against illegal migration.

The government-to-government agreement on conditions of stay in the state parties was ratified by Tajikistan in July 2018. The document provides for extending the period of stay for Tajik and Kazakh citizens in each other’s countries without registration to 30 day.
