France’s foreign affairs official to pay an official visit to Tajikistan

Mr. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, the Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, will arrive in Dushanbe tomorrow on an official visit.

During the visit, Mr. Lemoyne will hold talks with high-ranking Tajik state officials to discuss prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and France.

While in Dushanbe, Mr. Lemoyne will also attend an official opening ceremony of the command and control tower at Dushanbe International Airport.

The Government of France has sponsored the construction of this significant strategic facility and French company Enterprise Marc Meunier has built the control tower at the Dushanbe airport.

A government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and France on construction of the control tower at the Dushanbe airport was signed in Dushanbe on July 13, 2015.

The ceremony of laying the first brick in the foundation of the building of a new command and control center at the Dushanbe airport was held on March 14, 2018.

The French foreign affairs official is also expected to meet with journalists.

Mr. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne (born September 15, 1977) is a French politician.  He was named Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs on June 21, 2017
