Mr. Qozidavlat Qoimdodov presented his credentials as the newly-appointed Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Resident Representative for Tajikistan to Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin on May 23.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated Mr. Qoimdodov on his appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in promotion of multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and Aga Khan Development Network.
In the course of the talks, Muhriddin and Qoimdodov reportedly exchanged views on a number of issues being of mutual interest.
Mr. Qozidavlat Qoimdodov (born on October 7, 1949) is a Tajikistani politician and diplomat.
From November 2009 to December 2017, he served as Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia with residence in Minsk (Belarus).
Prior to this, he had served as Tajik Ambassador to Turkmenistan (2005-2009), Deputy Prime Minister in charge of agriculture and Tajikistan’s Government Coordinator of AKDN Tajikistan (2000-2005), Deputy of the Supreme Assembly (Tajikistan’s Parliament — 1995-200, and Deputy Head of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan (1992-1995).
Mr. Qoimdodov is the first Tajik national to head AKDN’s Office in Tajikistan.
