A new poultry farm has been introduced into operation in the northern city of Khujand.

The enterprise Sughd Samarqand Paranda Ltd has been launched by local entrepreneur Abduahad Rahimov and entrepreneur from the Uzbek city of Samarqand, Zarshed Muhammadiyev.  

An official opening ceremony of the Sughd Samarqand Paranda Ltd reportedly took place in the northeastern industrial zone of Khujand on July 4.  

The enterprise is capable of producing up to 100,000 broiler chickens and 100 tons of chicken meat per month.  

Sughd Samarqand Paranda Ltd intends to open its branches in the city of Isfara and the district of Mastchoh.

To date, 100,000 U.S. dollars have been invested in development of this poultry farm, and this figure is expected to increase to 500,000 U.S. dollars by the end of this year.
