Iranian authorities have invited Tajik economic cluster ministers to visit Tehran.  Official Tehran is convinced that such visits will expand economic cooperation between the two countries. 

According to the Tajik MFA information department, Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Iran Nizomiddin Zohidi met with Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Farhad Dejpasand in Tehran on July 31.

In the course of the talks, the two reportedly pointed to the necessity of using existing potential and opportunities to promote further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran in the fields of trade, finance and investment.  

They also emphasized the significance of development of legal foundation of bilateral cooperation in banking, investment, insurance and customs areas.  

Zohidi and Dejpasand also discussed specific issues related to further expansion of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.   

At the end of the meeting, the Iranian side invited senior representatives of relevant Tajikistan’s ministries and agencies to visit Tehran and expressed confidence that such visits would expand economic cooperation between the two countries.
