Tajikistan and the United Kingdom have established a chamber of commerce.  The Tajik-British Chamber of Commerce was established on September 9, 2019.

The Chamber aims to work on the development of business, trade and capital flows between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom through enhanced cross-border cooperation, says the Tajik British Chamber on its Facebook page.

This is expected to be achieved through the bilateral trade, conference and service initiatives.

“We shall drive forward market entry support, logistical, due diligence and professional services to enable the advancement of bilateral relations and continued growth of friendship as well as prosperity,” says report posted on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

The Chamber says that Tajikistan's economic growth in the past year was 7.3%.

Tajikistan's planned national strategy involves several strategic sectors: 1) trade; 2) industry; 3) agriculture; 4) infrastructure; 5) transport and logistics; 6) education; and 7) renewable energy.

The Chamber notes that tremendous growth and development in these areas does not just benefit the domestic economy, but also its neighbors that share the same market access with it and other players worldwide.  This mutually beneficial relationship is how Tajikistan creates breakthrough partnerships and an entire ecosystem that has the necessary support to make unique and grand projects a reality.

“Tajikistan has an extraordinary regional position, with remarkable resources and a thriving modern tourism sector. All of this is supported by the people of this nation as well as its partners.  It is therefore imperative to note the strengthening ties the country has with other nations.  The United Kingdom is also developing, and has the potential to grow its relations with Tajikistan.

“This will be achieved through our trade, conference and service initiatives.  We shall drive forward market entry support, logistical, due diligence and professional services to enable the advancement of bilateral relations and continued growth of friendship as well as prosperity.”
