Tajik athlete Bahodur Usmonov has reached the 1/8 final of the reaches the 1/8 final of the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships that is being held in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg. 

In the 1/16 final, our athlete, who is participating in the -63kg category, defeated Turkish boxer Tugrul Erdemir won by TKO, according to Tajikistan's National Olympic Committee (NOC).  

In the 1/8 final, Bahodur Usmonov will compete with French boxer Sofiane Oumiha.  He won silver medals at the 2015 European Games and at the 2016 Summer Olympics.   

Starting on September 8, the best boxers are competing for the one of the most decorated boxing titles in the word across 12 exciting days of boxing action.
