French entrepreneurs have assured Tajik President Emomali Rahmon that they will collaborate with Tajik counterparts in the fields of commerce, pharmaceutics, investment and new technologies, the Tajik president’s official website said.

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with a group of French entrepreneurs in Paris yesterday to discuss issues related to expansion of cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.  

The meeting participants reportedly included senior representatives of France’s Foreign Ministry, Airbus, Cluster Montagne, Fives, Group Innithera, Safran, Schiever, Thales, Total, Tractebel Engineering and MEDEF International.

The meeting resulted in signing of a number of agreements between the companies and enterprises of Tajikistan and France.

Thus, Tajikistan’s State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Tojinvest and MEDEFE International signed a cooperation agreement.

The Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) and Fives signed a financial agreement in the amount of 200 million euros.

Besides, TALCO, Fives and Germany’s Riedhammer singed a tripartite agreement on delivery of latest anode production technologies to the Tajik aluminum smelter.  

Tajik pharmaceutical company Sifat Pharma and France’s Laboratoire INNOTECH International signed a cooperation agreement.
