An enterprise to manufacture bicycles is being constructed in the industrial zone of Bokhtar, the capital of Khatlon province.

An official source within the Khatlon regional administration says the bicycle production plant will be introduced into operation by Navrouz festival (March 21, 2020).

According to him, local entrepreneurs are financing the construction of the enterprise that will produce up to 10,000 bicycles per year. 

The new enterprise will create 60 new jobs for local residents.  After the enterprise commissioning, the entrepreneurs financing the construction of it, intend to open shops for selling their bicycles in all regions of the country.  

Besides, they also plan to construct the slate factory and the pasta enterprise in Bokhtar’s industrial zone, the source added.  

Bokhtar’s industrial zone is located on an area of 6.9 hectares, and to-date, land plots have been allocated there to ten entrepreneurs for construction of industrial enterprises.
